It's that bloke who threatened Cyclin Mikey, the one with the teeth:

Surely the wind had to be blowing that thing around something rotten before it toppled it over?
-
• #480
No idea. I can well imagine that a single gust, if strong enough, could have done it, but I don't know how strong it would have to have been.

• #481
"Freak gust of wind" or forgot to put the handbrake on? No way to ever know I suppose

That layby is pretty flat: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ULhgrEiQSXUNZZCD9?g_st=ic

I slept in my parents motorhome on their drive during a storm once and that was pretty bad. the noise from the rain sounded like someone was chucking handfuls of gravel onto the roof.
felt like it was about to tip over the whole night.
this must have been absolutely terrifying. -

matt armstrong, ex BMX rider who restores crashed supercars on youtube, has crashed his Gallardo. the one car that he'd bough that wasn't crashed beforehand.
1000bhp twin turbo on slick tyres in the rain... 🤨

• #485
Slick tyres? How legal is that?
-
• #486
They weren't actual slicks. They have tread, just not very much.
He said it went from 30 to 50 and he went to change into 3rd and lost control. Which says to me that he was at or approaching 50mph in second gear which yeah isn't wringing it but not exactly feathering it for wet weather either. -
• #487
I actually like what he does and yeah always a dream to fix up wrecked cars!
-
• #488
yeah same. i really enjoy his videos and the relationship he has with his dad and the way he involves his partner and all his mates.
just feels like they're genuinely having a great time doing what they love. -

Makes enough money in Youtube adds in 20 minutes to buy 4 Gallardos

I've also been enjoying the recent videos of them repairing Marcus Rashfords totalled Rolls

fair play to him!

• #493
Haha that got old pretty quick

He said it went from 30 to 50
Hate to say it, he may have thought that, but he was still a quite a long way before the 50 sign.

Which may or may not have influenced his decision at the end of the vid...

also crashed just before the 'slippy roads' sign.
maybe it needs moving a few posts down the road.

Indeed.
Loved that episode which he detailed his journey from the start to get where he was.
And yeah, chased a dream and made it!

Same bloke who posted a video of doing 90mph in a 30 zone and any guesses for whether police prosecuted him..?
-
• #498
Which may or may not have influenced his decision at the end of the vid...
If it didn't, the youtube video would have been pretty self incriminating anyway then since he admits to accelerating for the 50 and you're right, it doesn't change for another 150 meters at least so basically confesses to speeding.

It's difficult to understand how the rear tyres are UK road legal but, apparently, they are. So you've been driving through a town at the 30 mph speed limit in the wet with 'normal' tyres on the front and semi slick track tyres on the rear (presumably now at below their optimal operating temperature?). You give it some throttle well before the 50 mph sign on an empty road and then change up - what could possibly go wrong?

Brilliant! Reminded me of this guy potting the black despite a car crashing through the pub wall.
