  • Planning a bikepacking trip in the Dolomites and trying to pick a tyre that would work well for a loaded bike, covering anything from dreamy tarmack to rocking single tracks. For a similar trip last year I went with 700x45 front and 700x40 rear. Will try to add 5mm to both and see if I can squeeze them into the frame.

    Current tyre choice options:

    • Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H
    • Vittoria Terreno Dry

    Possible other options:

    • Schwalbe Overland
    • Teravail Cannonball

Any other that should be considered? Durability needs to be considered as much as rolling resistance. This will be a summer trip, so dry conditions expected.

  • Mmm. I also liked Mezcals in gravel size if that helps, decent grip, surprisingly fast in tarmac. They don't stretch very big.
Got terra speed in 45c now. Fastest gravel tire yet, but fragile
