I’ve the same OG Evkin. Hard to beat on weight/cost
JRC make prettier ones with not much weight penalty

I'm looking for a budget 1x10 conversion kit and spotted this Sungooyue branded kit. Any thoughts on this stuff? I've never heard of it but is it one of those cases of same bits as *** with a different name on them?

Looks very similar to the L-Twoo AX 11 speed level/mech I have on one bike. It's fine.

Good to know. Thanks

I’ll be up for a new rim if a group buys is happening again.

Me too

I'm not sure I can be bothered with LB again. Even with 25-30% off the rims, by the time I get them and pay for them to be built, it will have cost £££ and summer which is what I want them for will be nearly done.
I've ordered a set of Farsports Hypers when there were some AliX vouchers around. Crazy light and hopefully delivered in a few weeks. Will then probably sell on the hubs from my broken wheels.

It's why I bought 9velo wheels a few months back. I've got a couple of sets of LBs; one fullset of wheels from them and a set of rims I had built up. Even with discount, the wheels or rims weren't much cheaper than some haggling from 9v

They are great rims though. I feel better than most main brand hoops that I’ve had.
Just a peck they’re shipped from china.
I’ll still be up for a hoop if there is an order going in because I need to replace one I smashed.

Looks alright time will tell.

You went weight weenie for a triathlon? I prefer something with as much padding as possible when I'm riding in a trisuit and definitely wouldn't want any risky components in a race.

Yes. I understand and agree with your points.
Am I still doing it? Also yes.

Did anyone ever go for the fake speedplay pedals?
-
• #11591
Or the speedplay cleats? I think someone in here got them, would be interested in a follow up

I've been eyeing the titanium spindles - come longer than the standard ones so can tweak q-factor. Feels like a hard part to get wrong but any experiences also welcome!

The reviews seem to suggest they work well both ways cross compatibility wise
@giles337 I bought ti axles for my eggbeaters and used them for road gravel and mtb with no issues and I’m not light

Just ordered a bunch of fake PAUL off aliex, pray for me

The Ti Spindles have been a go to upgrade for a decade, they're great and easy to fit yourself.

anyone picked up a pair of photochromic glasses off AliX that they would recommend?

I've got these and they work very well, from basically clear to dark enough to be ok in the sun, can hardly beat them for the price: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005226036857.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.25.2a0f1802jNceYI
Only snag with the above I found they don't sit well in the vents of my helmet when I'm climbing, so splashed out on these fake Sutros with a few lenses, including the photochromic. Been happy with them: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004798381916.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.15.2a0f1802jNceYI

Have some Kapvoe KE9022 and they work great for me. I have ridden them in sunny conditions and all the way into the night and they just seem to work, I completely forgot about them.
I had them make the prescription lenses for the insert and they came out spot on. Now I have 3 frames so I don't have to go through the faff of changing the lenses when I just want to use the yellow one for overcast winter days. -
