Because I've just installed brand new cranks (that were meant for the Tripster), having got sick of dealing with her old FSA ones and I'd rather not buy yet another set of cranks, especially non-Shimano. The new FD is an annoying but probably more future-proof purchase. I can sell the DA FD or maybe stick it back in the Shiv's parts box in case I ever decide to have a go at the LEJOG record again (ROFL!)

Why not swapsies for some road cranks, or praxxis or similar if you want the smaller rings but don't need the extra clearance?
