  • Planning a bikepacking trip in the Dolomites and trying to pick a tyre that would work well for a loaded bike, covering anything from dreamy tarmack to rocking single tracks. For a similar trip last year I went with 700x45 front and 700x40 rear. Will try to add 5mm to both and see if I can squeeze them into the frame.

    Current tyre choice options:

    • Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H
    • Vittoria Terreno Dry

    Possible other options:

    • Schwalbe Overland
    • Teravail Cannonball

Any other that should be considered? Durability needs to be considered as much as rolling resistance. This will be a summer trip, so dry conditions expected.

  • Just came back from a trip to spain on similar sounding mix of terrain, used gravelking semi slick +, 700x43 and they were really great, handled road and rocks pretty good
