The Great Vertical shares the essence of the CAT700. This is a non-competitive journey that aims to make you discover the great variety of landscapes that range between the coast and 1,500 meters of altitude and that cover the lands of Castellón, Tarragona and Teruel.
Its circular nature makes it ideal for a weekend activity with simplified logistics. Some of its strong points turn this challenge into an exceptional human and geographical experience. This is a cycling adventure in capital letters."
Billed as 10,000m of climb I ended up with over 7000m and it had rained so we had PB mud in a few places, pouring rain overnight. Basically, I'm still fucked from it.
We were there at Xmas too and it was almost ~20C during the days. Glorious shorts weather. Sub-zero overnight though so we had to pack decent camp kit.
