Sorry to be that guy, but what bars are these? They look similar to Neoclassics, but I haven't been able to get as satisfying a bar-lever fit as you have here. I have R3000 levers which look similar in profile to your 105s. And just to add, excellently proportioned bike.

No probs, happy to help. They are Ritchey comp evo max bars. Cheers for the compliment too.

Is the top tube more sloping? Expected less seat post with the bigger frame.

How would one call a frameset like the Neil Orrell? Touring? Randonneur? Id love something similar

Thanks. I guess just a touring bike, when this was built in the late 70s rando or front loading wasn't a thing, in the UK at least. Thin tubing and 32mm tyres did feel like a goldilocks zone.

I asked this in the CdF thread, but seems geometry for the model changed over the years to become more compact. Personally, I'd prefer a more horizontal TT (and curved fork) but it fits really well.

How's the Cdf treating you?

Yes good thanks. Only issue I've had since riding more rough stuff is pedal strike which rarely happened before. Riding off road I've had to slightly recalibrate to shorter more 'fun' rides which isn't a bad thing. I'm liking it. The higher head/seat tube is a revelation.

Rear derailleur GS or SS ? What max size cog on the cassette ?
Have GS 5700 with 32t cassette / 42t NW ring and wondering if I can go a little bigger, like 34t-36t
