'People getting shot' has become the norm. Here's another one https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/apr/01/california-police-video-shooting-15-year-old-girl-savannah-graziano Cops had a big operation to rescue a 15 year old girl, kidnapped by her father (after he'd shot her mother). They cornered him when he wrecked his pickup. One cop shouted at her to get of the pickup and walk to a cop car. Another cop, noting that the girl was wearing a helmet and a body armour vest, thought she was her father and shot her.
