Sorry to hear
We got May a new feather toy after she absolutely destroyed the other one. If she manages to grab it in her mouth she immediately trots off to her litter tray to try and bury it...

Yeah, think she's settled now. Still the odd mental moment but otherwise just spends the day sleeping. Would prefer it if she used the bloody bed though

There would be something wrong with the cat if she was using the bed 💁

Anyone interested in a Catmate Elite Super Selective microchip flap? Year old, works perfectly.
Seem to be about £100 online so £50?

You are new to this cat servitude business. The cat bed will not used till the bed disappears. Then there will be anger.
One of the furry arseholes used like sleeping in my sock drawer. Pushing the draw above open and going to sleep in the draw below.

Does the cat let you turbo in peace? My eldest is fine, but the youngest insists on yowling sorrowfully until I stop.

A week ago and I would have had that.
Had to install a microchip reader in a cupboard (alongside the microchip feeder) to stop fat cat eating skinny cats food.
Fat bastard.

..why? Did the cardboard shelter system not work any more? 🙂

He learnt to run in just before the lid on the feeder shut and pull the bowl out with his teeth so he could eat it when he wanted.
Total cunt.
There's a reason she's 2.9kg and he's 6.3kg

No I meant the box you set up where the entrance was cut so small that he didn't fit in -

Yup. He’d run into the gap in the 4 seconds between skinny cat leaving and the lid shutting.
New setup.
Microchip door, magnetic child locks on the cupboard, microchip feeder and camera to monitor.
Cat food version of Fort Knox.

Honestly.
The next option is making a rug out of the fat one.
It really is the best way, she was at an age where I had started to worry which way it might go and she’d managed to avoid the stress of vets her whole life.
@lynx thanks! She was super and she lived her best life the way she wanted to live it.
@edmundro indeed!
Now we’re battling a 5 year old asking for two kittens while we’re just getting used to the new normal. Hoping we can delay until after summer and get a rescue who needs a good home.
