I ordered a 8170 groupset from Merlin just over a year ago and it was £500 below list price. I don't think you'll see prices drop much below £1400 for an entire groupset. That said, I picked up another pair of shifters and a rear mech from ProBikeKit recently and saved almost £200 on RRP, so individual bargains can be had.
The whole groupset from Merlin came with all the brake fittings, so hoses, olives and barbs btw.
