Dune part 2 at the cinema yesterday. Maybe i overhyped it for myself, maybe it’s cos I’ve read the book and already had some of these massive set pieces in my head, but i was hugely underwhelmed. Felt like it just didn’t bother to make the potentially epic bits epic and put focus on more minor shit. It was all a bit disjointed and managed to simultaneously feel overlong and rushed.
V trifling matter but couldn’t help but be annoyed by the inconsistency with which they applied blue to the freeman character’s eyes. Did they run out of blue cgi budget or something?
