  • Good shout, make sure to screenshot or download the page and all the details then reupload in stolen thread. Ebay takes them down once reported or taken back down by 'seller'.

Normal bike theft is a really low blow, rad dad wagon cargo bike theft is sick. Currently in Vietnam and theft here basically just does not happen, if it does happen, and police are stirred into motion (especially if something stolen from a foreigner), things happen, quickly and harshly*

*Not going into an argument of punishment practices. Proof is you can live your life without the continuous threat of loosing your transport at any given moment. Loads of old guys here with museum grade 50's to 80's French and Belgium origin randonneaur, touring and city bikes, none of them have had a bike stolen in their life span, and these guys are OLD, reduction in theft or attack related anxiety and stress probably a contributor to them reaching a mighty age.

  • yes i am! the bike is no longer there, i think is a mix of "obsolescence" and price of repair... anyway, i almost dont have time to change my brake cables so i dont need another project bike! and a cargo... (my kids are getting heavy so i was thinking about a bullit type bike to keep the weight low.... i saw these guys, http://www.officinerecycle.com
1500 euros for a frameset ... i am thinking about it)

  • I know them because they set up the business close to my hometown.
    Good guys and good project.
Wish I can afford one atm..

  • they crashed into you?? no way.... scary stuff..., i guess this depends of the city! (swiss is pretty mellow, so, lots of chariots here...i have a thule coaster xt, no problem ever!

  • :) 1500 is still something for sure!! i would have to sell stuff 1st! no more disposable bike budget for me

  • Saw someone is developing a nice hinge for omnium rack

  • looks cool! easy storage and to take on the train!! nice!!

  • Thats neat.

  • That would fit perfectly in my bike store (downstairs loo). Dangerous.

  • Was going to say the same as @Calumonwheels, would not do trailer here in Berlin, people are on the phone all the time, drive like complete idiots and there always is a car parked in the way so visibility is shit.

But Switzerland I'd do it, only been to Bern recently, but just the fact that not every corner has parked cars on it makes everything way safer. I was amazed (again) that you can basically see everything thats going on on roads as there are way less parked cars.
Also my sister uses one there, and I don't think she's exactly fearless.

  • Just spotted this new Pashley ALECS

First bike I see with twin front discs!

    https://www.pashley.co.uk/products/alecs

  • I've seen some bikes made for super tall people (7' tall rider, 36" wheels) with double discs before. Makes total sense for heavy stopping

  • handlebar wider than the rack

  • German post bikes have used double fronts before

  • From experience if you can get the rack out the way it saves a lot of space. I’ll almost def get this cos I store mine on my balcony and have to walk past it to get to front door.

If bars Are really in the way it’s easy to loosen stem and twist to be in line with top tube, or just rotate them and wheel a bit - cos the front wheel is small it doesn’t make it massively wide at front

  • Where did you see this? Link to who is making it would be much appreciated!

  • Also you can get away with a rackless Omnium in places where a racked one can't, like the train from Copenhagen to Malmö.

  • Thanks for the tip on screen shots, have added a pic

  • Blacked out omnium mini going south down bishopsgate this morning, on here? Looked like a V1/V2 quick release

  • I got my Mini-max the other day - anyone know what that little flask that comes with the 4 rack bolts is for? I thought it was some kind of transparent grease but it smeels and feels like glue.

  • Touch up paint/concealer

  • The mrs dropped the controller unit (Bosch Intuvia) and knocked one of the button pairs off. They don’t seem to clip on. Perhaps a dab of superglue

It's cracked appearing. I'd try a dab on both button posts. Probably won't work.
