• This is on eBay UK yeah?
Just searched and didn't come across your listing in the first 50 or so listings

  • Doesn’t show for me searching for ‘Vanson Jacket’ or ‘Vanson Model B’ on eBay uk or ca

  • Yeah it's in Canada.
After a long delayed and drawn out conversation with an agent I finally found out that the "data transfer" can take up to 48 hours. Ffs

  • So I ended the auction because in my attempt to simplify the search parameters by shortening the title ebay ended up moving my “promotion”, in reality, the existence of my auction, even further along. I would’ve lost half of my week with virtually no views. I’ll try again next Sunday.

  • Ah right. I was getting a lot of results from the US and Japan but still not yours, I guess that explains it. Seems a bit mad to me.

  • Thanks to both yourself and @giles337 for checking.

  • Has anyone experienced this eBay 'feature' where when you make an offer on an item which requires instant payment and it's accepted, you then aren't informed in any way that it has been accepted? I'm talking no email, no notification, no nothing.

This has happened to me a few times now, I think since I updated payment information, so now eBay can take it without me having to confirm how I'll pay. Of course I can't work how to change that back either.

    It's not just me:
    https://community.ebay.com/t5/Report-eBay-Technical-Issues/Offer-Accepted-No-Notification/td-p/33040595

And having been through my communications settings there's nothing there, so I guess I just need to live with it?

  • yep. happened to me last week.
made an offer on a crankset, then had to confirm payment method before the offer went to the seller.

couple of days later i had a shipping notification email, but didn't have any messages from ebay to tell me the offer had been accepted.
    weird.

  • I've just done exactly this and got a 'Your order is confirmed' email.

Do you want to see my eBay email settings/preferences?

  • Kind of good to be honest, people who win an item and then don't pay are knobheads

  • I ordered two pairs of work trousers and the seller says they where collected and signed for at the local royal mail sorting office . I have no email from rm or a not delivered note .? His link to collected is a ebay.com not co.uk .? He has several negative feedback and just points me to “they where signed for ?

  • Has the seller provided you with tracking details?

  • Its says collected from a local sorting office with a unknown signature ?

  • Did it have your address on it?

  • No just the sorting office

  • Run that tracking number in Royal mail

Otherwise… just wait longer? Could be a bad/inaccurate scan somewhere along the way. (Or could’ve been delivered to the wrong place/stolen, in which case eBay will make you wait a certain period anyway).

Keep screenshots etc as evidence should it get to a dispute…

  • Is the Wallasey delivery office your local one?

Strange that the tracking doesn't even show an attempted delivery.

Seems like it's going to be your word v the seller's., I'd get on the online chat or phone to ebay customer service to provide your side of the story asap.

  • possibly the seller is doing the 'sending to the wrong address to generate a tracking code' scam?

    https://community.ebay.com/t5/Buying/Latest-Scam-Seller-send-package-to-wrong-address-from-an/td-p/33968595

(this is what happened with the great LUFGUSS kayak scandal)

  • Question is who signed for them and where are they now ?

  • Why does this show as being dispatched 5 days AFTER they were delivered?....

  • Yeah I thought I was going mad for a minute looking at that. This feels pretty dodgy tbh, especially if the seller already has bad feedback.

  • @pacef8
If it's worth the leg work you could go through the process described in bigshape's link and ask the DO to confirm in writing that the delivery addresses don't match.
Although, if your local DO is anything like mine they'll be as unhelpful as possible just to get rid of you. Or they'll tell you to call the customer help line and then you'll definitely give up.

  • One is going the ebay resolution way its just all to dodgy . I will let you all know

  • If you do the online chat just keep typing 'connect to agent' or something like that and you should get to speak with a real human before too long. Speaking/typing to a real human rather than an ai bot is key here.

  • I think that is just when the info was put on ebay (tracking number). Royal Mail has it correct.
