  • Not really, tbf. West Coast of the US is incredibly diverse, but it only really works for the top earners who are probably 90% a certain demographic (that’s another thing that is broken particularly on the West Coast).

    I’m more and more convinced our friends will move back to London!

  • Be interested to know where you mean, as it's a pretty big coast.

    I've spent a while around Seattle/Portland area and never found it eye watering expensive (seemed very on par with UK for food, coffee etc, although admittedly I wasn't buying housing there).

    Or boring, absolutely amazing place, Puget sound, the mountains just outside, urban things etc etc.
