  • I’d like to buy a smart trainer and find a training plan to get faster/fitter, no specific goal.

I’m looking at buying the Wahoo Kickr Core. I have an iPhone, no laptop or tablet.

Tried watching some YouTube videos on this and I’m a bit lost, any advice is appreciated.

My partner wanted to add turbo training around commuting for some big summer trips.
I first set them up on Zwift, as I thought it was cheapest.
Didn't even see out the free 14 day trial before cancelling.

Assume Zwift spent all the VC money on sponsoring athletes and YouTube adverts.

Maybe some people get a kick from chasing avatars but for us, the interface for training, scheduling, finding workouts and feedback is terrible.

Now paying the extra £2-3 a month for TrainerRoad. Watched them setup an adaptive low volumne plan, super easy. The Progression levels, adaptions and upcoming red light features ontop of the excellent calendar, are just easy and they are just cracking on with getting faster without much faff.

You can make your own mind up easily, Zwift offer 14 days free, traineroad a 30 day money back guarantee if you want to cancel.
