  • WTF. 9 in one movie? That’s just blackmailing users ffs. Dune is on Netflix now if that helps you.

  • Shit no sorry, my mistake. I was on Netflix (I lose track). Hopefully Amazon won't get as bad as that.

  • You get ads on netflix?

  • dune available here in hd and ad free, along with thousands of other films and tv series according to a friend

    https://freemoviesfull.cc/watch-movie/watch-dune-full-6752.4650076

my friends also says watching with vidcloud is the best option

  • Thoroughly enjoyed Bottoms

  • I was surprised by how enjoyable it was.

  • Enjoyed The Kitchen on Netflix.

  • Apparently so. Though i am on the cheapest subscription option so will have to live with it

  • Two excellent films this week:

Fallen Leaves (thanks whoever put the Mubi £1 thing up) - lovely

Zone of Interest - just wow. very brave filmmaking. different story to the book but same horror

  • Watched David Earl's 2022 film, "Brian and Charles" last night.

It's just a lovely, charming film about loneliness and friendship. Really recommend it if you want a nice easy, very British watch.

  • Does anybody fancy 30 days of free Mubi? I have a referral code thing if so. (I also get 30 free days out of it but already have 3 months and not sure there's enough I want to watch on there as it is).

  • Thoroughly enjoyed American Fiction
Mrs M had a few looools, perfect date movie, still talking about this film.. some very poignant and tender moments too..
    Jeffrey Wright solid performance

    Little Wicked Letters looks hysterical…

  • ^ Apparently Amazon Prime Video has also removed Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio from its service unless users pay the additional fee for the ad-free tier.

  • Yup. Fuck them.

  • Samantha Morton at the Baftas calling out Kes as being an inspiration for her career was quite nice I thought

  • In addition to the Amazon ads pisstake, I got the Disney+ renewal email to say that they're putting the price up by nearly 40% (to £109.90) with absolutely no added value. The streaming heyday is definitely over.

  • Apparently they lost 12m subscribers over the price changes but still increased profit. If my daughter wasn't exclusively interested in Disney princesses, I would have cancelled already.

  • Surely they're going to make an absolute fortune when the Taylor Swift thing drops in March

  • The Holdovers

sweet and funny. Paul Giammatti is just so watchable, it's not even like acting.

One of the best films I've seen in a while! Acting is incredible from all main characters as you say, not even like acting. Certainly deserved the BAFTAs that came their ways.

Also went to see Perfect Days last week and cand say the same about it - perhaps not one for the lovers of fast paced cinema though

  • Society of the Snow

  • American Symphony

It's on Netflix at the moment, just a really well made documentary. I now need to see Jon Batiste live asap.

  • Just been to see All of Us Strangers...cried a bit.

  • everything said about the holdovers made me watch it tonight, beautiful film, witty, intelligent, great acting, great characters. well worth a watch

if you do want to watch from the pleasure of your own home in the coming days, a friend has recommended watching it here
