  • After Masters of the Air being on, I've been rewatching The Pacific. Originally didn't enjoy it much when it was new, but it's aged so well. Absolutely terrific /horrific in all the right measures.

I think it highlights one of the flaws of Masters of the Air where they've gone with known actors, which makes it less 'relatable' if you know what I mean.

I also put the new 'Ted' series on for lunch. It's so incredibly shit I turned it off after 5 minutes. Honestly not sure how it made it past anyone to be made.

  • Father, Lasso, Super?

  • The painfully unfunny bear from family guy person

  • Yes this. I've not seen the films and Now TV were shouting about it as a new comedy.

  • just did mindhunter series 1 & 2. interesting watch about the formation of the psychology dept. of the fbi at quantico studying serial killers and formulating procedures for investigating multiple killers. looks at a couple of cases in more detail.

seems like they stopped making it at the end of series 2 with the development of one character ongoing but never really looked at. series 3 seems lined up but might never get made which is a shame.

  • Just seen the first 7, like how jamili changes side.

Loved the Sean rider and Bez line up.

  • What, first film was fun and enjoyable as a concept. The second not so.

How about get back to the Orville....

  • Nah Super Ted was better

  • Ah Seth whathisname.

Yeah, I cannot stand anything he's in or the sound of his voice.

  • Which, of the many, voices?

    @Big_Rouleur7 very very true.

  • Late to Invasion, binged 1 and in process of binging 2 - they only started shooting 3 this year. Hopefully it won’t get canned like the Gibson series I was enjoying.

  • Just finished Boy Swallows Universe. Loved every episode.

Mr &Mrs Smith another one I’ve enjoyed heaps

  • Also really enjoyed Boy Swallows Universe.

I finished Mr Inbetween this week, I need a good replacement. I think it one of the shows I've enjoyed the most in ages.

  • I finished Mr Inbetween this week

Never heard of this and started to watch it, great recommendation 👍

  • It's fucking great.

I wish I'd never watched it, just so I could watch it all again.

Love the birds and the bees episode. I was in hysterics.

  • I loved it but never finished the last episode, couldn't take the bleakness.

  • You should. It's really uplifting.

  • It's starting to get a bit more nuanced. Feels like the vision is "gung-ho war heroes slowly understand the human impact"

  • Criminal Record on Apple TV is pretty good. It's using Peter Capaldi very well, but he's not the only good thing in it, not by a long shot (Cush Jumbo matching him blow for blow). It's leaving me impatient for the next episode, which not a lot does.

  • Watched Storyville: Piano Forte last night. Excellent doc well worth a watch.

  • Yeah we're enjoying it, as you say a top cast and i like the way it's shot.

First time watching Cush Jumbo and she's really good.

  • I'm enjoying it more as i've given up on hoping for something better. Now that i'm over the story the Goodwood revival cosplay and CGI are both bugging me but it rattles along at a good pace and is entertaining enough.

  • And late to season 2 of the Tourist but Greg Larsen is gold.

  • Finished watching Reindeer Mafia on More4/All4/whatever it's called last night. It's a light-hearted Finnish noir caper that's highly enjoyable and looks likely to go into a second season if the ending is anything to go by. Worth a watch if you're into irreverent Scandi intrigue with a good dose of silliness.
