I don't really want to. But there's a pile of bikes in the corner of my living room that includes a tandem, a longtail and a bunch of other bikes.
The Omnium is seeing the least use atm and I could do with the space.
I might see if I can oull something cheeky and store it somewhere until later into the year -

I'll do you a favour if you like. You can store it at mine if I can ride it all the time and pretend it's my bike.

Ha, I'm actually not that far from you as it goes

interested if it's Large

When I got mine the ‘classic’ was only available as a medium and I get on well with it- iirc (🤔) we’re similar heights if that helps .

If I brought a cargo bike home my partner would definitely move out. Apparently 4 regular bikes is already too much for our downstairs loo.
-
• #13185
In the loo! Yes, that's where I could stash a bike.
Pics pls. -

Sheeyit, wish I had a downstairs, and a spare loo. I'm still hopeful that people can work out some kind of SE shared garage/workspace.

I'm away at the minute but will get a pic when I'm home! Here's an old one of the view from the throne.

Ah, I was hoping they were hung by the wheels from the ceiling or something.
Or on the wall. -

A couple are on one of these. A second one would make it a bit neater in there but there's still just about room to manoeuvre with 2 leaning against each other with the bars turned 90°.

Has anyone fixed one of these UA Yepp adapters to a Bullitt? Any advice / suggestions for clever alternatives?
Objective is to transport 8 month year old safely in my Bullitt and not have to change system for a while. Had considered isofix and car seat but would work out a lot heavier than adapter + Yepp mini and take up more room in the bike too

8 months is pretty small and I think they want to be in their size zero car seat at that point. If you were to look at non isofix seats which accommodate from newborn up to about 4 years, they quite often have flat bottoms and can strap down. My logic here is you’ll need one later anyway so it won’t be wasted money. Example is the Joie Stages.
Also look up the Melia toddler seat. Again, 8 months is maybe a bit small but as soon as they can sit up properly it’s a very versatile seat and well worth the money. Has its own seatbelts and has strapping points. Looks like my youngest was in the Melia seat from around 9 months and I reckon it’ll last until they’re about 3.

When my daughter was small i used an extra car seat and a heavy duty ratchet strap. This was on a different longjohn but worked well.

From birth I had mine in a Size zero car seat- first on an isofix base and latterly on a steco mount. The steco is ideal as it has some suspension and allows for the quick release of the car seat meaning you can move them inside when they’re asleep. In fact, when all else failed the bike was the only thing that guaranteed sleep!
I then moved her to a Melia at about 11 months.
As it happens, I need to get rid of both of these things from my garage!

Yep, and the long-tail, and the tandem. All up on the end held against the wall by a bunch of other bikes 😅

I really appreciate these suggestions. We do actually have a car seat someone gave us for the next ‘stage’ and need to get a base for it so maybe I’ll just buy two bases to try one on the bike.
The Melia looks really good too.
I’m going to try to do a weight comparison between Yepp mini and melia.

Yes - the Steco Mini Mee? I was really interested in trying one of those as like you say it has some spring and would work straight away with our car seat. Seems like there's a lot of praise for the Melia, too. I will send you a DM in case I could help clear a little space in your garage!

Im cutting a ua rain cover short to fit. Still have not gotten around to finishing it. Easier than starting from scratch.
