BrickLink designer program series 1 (pre-)orders open tomorrow afternoon. I'm tempted by the Engine Shed and General Store.

How’s that one coming along? Got it as a present which I’m very happy about, as have had my eye on it forever. Can’t wait to get going.
Quite tempted to get the LED light kit for it for a laugh. Does anyone know if you need that to hand pre-build, or can install to a build set? Presume former.

I have the LED light kits for Sanctum Santorum and Haunted House (both from Lightailing on Az). Both needed to be installed after build, but you partially dismantle to fit the components. The instructions were very clear. Recommend Lightailing kits.

I added light kits to the 911 GT3 RS and Lamborghini after finishing them. Bit fiddly (moreso if you're OCD about cable routing), but reckon having to deal with all the tiny wires while still building would be far worse.

Cycling Weekly has an article about pros including Fred Wright, Zoë Bäckstedt, and Rhys Britton being LEGO fans. Also Emma Trott, now a coach. It includes some info on the Team Telekom sets from 2000 and Rolf Aldag gets interviewed about them.
There's no mention of them doing anything other than building sets out of the box.

Got a few things planned for this year.
First is the Plymouth Brick Festival. I was going to exhibit the Cornish engine house there but will suss it out this year with a view to exhibiting next year - with a few detail inclusions into the design.
Second is a trip with my son over to Lego House at Billund. -

You're actually going over to see my ship in person.
I'm very honored! -

Prepare to be disappointed with the Lego shop(s) in Copenhagen. I thought it'd have loads of unique sets and stuff, but it's just a normal store.

This git has nicked my idea!
Even modelled them already, despite knowing they'll need tweaking for size once I get hold of the real thing. Had also realised from photos that the floor would need modifying to fit the wider rears. Figured I'd probably print that as well since it won't be very visible.

Oh I've been a few times, I more like to look at the displayed built sets. The conversion rate doesn't make much sense for Lego purchases in DKK whilst there

So awesome. Great set. Congrats.
I'm thinking this might be good for my windowless bathroom

How long did they take to arrive? My Mercedes F1 set which was pre ordered for 1 mar delivery is still 'in the warehouse' :(
Decided I needed something smaller to build whilst the house move is on hold. Only then will I have space to build my Concorde!

Ordered on Feb 16th, all March 1st pre-orders.
Annoying that I could have just bought them on Amazon and had them March 1st but I got some lego points I guess.
Built one of these during Lockdown 1. Most of my kits are dismantled and in a big box, but this one remains intact on top on the bookcase.
Really nice kit.
