What's the handle scale material?
We have the teak(i think) version and the wood dries out faster than you can say "oil". No dishwasher even.

I've got the white acrylic ones... directions say 45°c max and it looks like my dishwasher doesn't have a program below 55°c?

Handwash it is then. :)
They look good in white though.
Fwiw we also have another set og cheaply made (at least they look so) cutlery with plastic scales that have been absolutely fine with dishwasher at 55 every day.
