Why not replace it with errrr..... some heat shrink?
RS Components is your friend. -
Most heat shrink will halve in size after shrinking so measure the widest bit it needs to go over and buy some heat shrink one size over that. Or you can get little variety size boxes usually in the middle of Lidl etc

I want to dismantle a light to spray it.
When I come to replace this heat shrink, what type of heat shrink do I replace it with? - ie does it need to be a specific type?
