This website suggests SRAMs gx (non transmission) chains wear out twice as fast as the xo chains but are not half the price, so work out costing more

Was there a website that did chain longevity tests? Or am I simply imagining this?
Am trying to find out if there is any performance difference between sram transmission gx and xo chains or is it a £50 extra cost just for a pointless black coating on the xo chain.
