And the late team sheet check which I've fallen foul of once or twice with late withdrawal through illness for example. One of the things I like about this comp (and clearly I spend more time on it than is necessary - largely because of good natured nonsense with my brother - is that it is a good blend of nouse, inspiration, knowledge, research and LUCK in equal measure. We've all had bad luck stories and strokes of fortune but they can result in literally 200 point swings on a single player. I remember when I'd suffered 2 early injuries one match day but in the next the Irish hooker (I think) that my brother had, went off injured in the first 10 minutes and his replacement, my supersub, came on and scored 2 tries and was MoM for about 300 points. Ahh, good times

Yeah the supersub is the hidden gem, get lucky with that and you're sorted, early injuries can be key.

And getting in your mind you’re better off not having a replacement than the cheapest prop in the game that comes on for 20 minutes and gives away 4 pens and gets carded🤣

Boring, turgid game at Ashton Gate…

Loads of budget left this year. What have they done to the player costs?
-
• #5186
Is it because there's only 1 sub this year so you don't have to worry about filling those spots?
-
• #5187
Could well be!
(plus some leftfield picks)

I have joined this, but have no idea what I'm doing, how the points work and if you're meant to update it during the tournament (probs won't have time for that).
Also, it made it bloody difficult to do it and keep English and Welsh out of the team. I've ended up having to put one Welsher in there, under sufferance.

Yeah - can’t spend it all. Shame as the one of the key premises of all fantasy sports games was/is the ability to find the best value for money.
Would prefer max 3 from each team in starting XV too, maybe sub from any -

Plus it was about 900 points for Dupont the last 3 years and he's not there...

Posolo Tuilagi promoted to the bench tonight. I guess we'll see what all the fuss has been about.

Hope this lives up to the hype. Margaritas drunk, child3 making pizzas, 6nations - very good evening.

Great to watch ruggas on telly again

French replacement scrum half was their best player. Ireland weren’t out of third gear.

I think Shaun Edwards just broke a table or three. Ireland probably left points out there too. Miles better, regardless of the red.

My main takeaway was confirmation that Sexton should have been subbed in that NZ 1/4. Ireland function just fine without him and in the second half of that game he could barely run and killed any attacking shape they built.
France were a shambles and Galthie left it far too long to make changes. What's the point of a 6-2 of you don't bring fresh forwards on early (especially if you've been a man down in the pack).
Pressure is on this year, as a SH supporting outsider last year I was able to slip under the radar. Will have to make sure I brush up on the rules and game dates.
