  • oh HAI!

  • Personally, I think he’s hoping that Vicious Velo sign him up.

  • I wish.

  • I don't have the ability to wear that kit.

  • Got Milk?

  • Still want one of those jerseys!

  • I have a spare skin suit I was considering auctioning off for charity when the race team changes the kit design. I have had so so many people ask for one.

  • Trek Crockett owners, I know there are a few in here, what are 42s like for clearance? I need to 'gravel' mine for an event in May.

  • I've run 38s and there was still clearance for days, so a couple of mms on either side should be no problem.

  • Ta! That's the answer I was hoping for.

  • Anyone racing Brighton this weekend? I'm still hacking up gunge 2 weeks after having flu and going like a bag of shit but I'm local and I've got a cross bike now so I'm going. The effort will either clear the pipes or absolutely ruin me. Everyone's unfit in Feb right? 🤞 Apart from GrantMontie clearly

  • @GrantMontie for the win

  • Yea, i'll be there all day.

Fighting for 2nd overall in the league.

If I win the race, i'd come 2nd with points to spare.
Otherwise it's literally down the 1 or 2 points.

  • Good luck the full bifta required then 💪 I'm doing v40 before so I'll see you there. If you've got your game face on I'll leave you to it. I'm sure you could do without some random trying to buy a skinsuit off you when your getting ready to race.

  • I’ll be doing the v50 race, but, whisper it, on gears.

I got heckled at Herne Hill by someone demanding to know why I wasn’t on fixed. I didn’t see who it was, if I had I’d have made the point that BC regulations bar fixed geared bikes in CX.

  • Probably after the race though.

  • I'll be there for the women's race onwards. So probably will see me pre game face.
Will have my puppy with me, so probably chasing him trying to stop him eating shit he shouldn't

  • The way my luck was going I was wondering if I could ride ss with one brake.

  • I'm only 45 minutes from Preston Park so I'm riding but has anyone checked out parking? There's no info on the website but unless they've allowed for something at the bottom of the park pretty much the whole area is residents parking only now

  • I’d imagine there will be some information on parking in the rider manual, which is usually sent out on the Friday morning before the race.

I was going to get the train down from East Croydon, mainly because I remember how hard it was to find parking when we raced there in 2019.

  • They have expanded the residents permit zone considerably since 2019 and if they do offer anything on site they'll have to properly marshal it. Just before Christmas there was a weekend event going on at St Peters church down the road. They opened the barrier unattended for an hour before the event started for it to immediately almost fiil up cars that had nothing to do with the event.

  • You can park on Orpen Road for free and walk down to Preston Park (about a 10 minute walk).

  • I thought all those residential roads in the Dyke road area were half double yellow lines and residents parking but I'll check it out on the bike tag thread instead.
