  • Yes. Very, very close but I got it.

  • The one West of the Millenium Bridge looks doable at low tide

    Yes, I got it today.

PLA tide height at London Bridge was 1m predicated. There is one in January predicted at 0.4m which I might use to try again for the one north of Gabriel's Wharf.

  • 3 or 4 Thames tiles that aren't gettable on terra firma

There is a tricky one south of Hermitage Gardens in Wapping. Maybe if you can get on the moorings but you would need a keyholder to let you in.

  • There was a burst of excitement a while back, on another thread, about greatly discounted air inflated kayaks from ... (maybe Decathlon?)
Can't remember if any of the orders were honoured.

  • I saw a heavily discounted SUP the other day and was tempted just for this very purpose. Sense took over though.

  • You guys are really taking it to the next level. :)

  • Used the F500 to get some small tiles. Got 502 new squadratinhos and expanded yardinho by 989. Jumped 300 spots in the standings. Enough running around fields and waving my gps over fences for now.

  • Opposite end of the spectrum: Walked over the Jubilee Bridge to go to watch Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre the other day and remembered to record a quick "run" (e.g. a walk) as that tile was missing.

  • Next challenge is to get the tiles West/South of the lake in Wimbledon Park. The ones on the North/East sides are relatively easy given Wimbledon Park and Home Park Road.

Luckily my daughter has a few weeks of indoor cricket training at The Wimbledon Club and so I can wander out from there to get some. The hall is right up by the lake itself.

The only really tricky tile looks to be the one directly South of The Wimbledon Club as it is entirely part of the old golf course but I'm sure a little dart over a fence and back should allow me to grab it.

  • There's a handlebar sized gap just to the left of the (now permanently locked) gate - just saying...

  • Ta! I'll be on foot so it's a bit easier to walk around than worry about bieks.

  • Nice walk around the Western side of Wimbledon Park Lake whilst my daughter was at her cricket training. Also snuck through the hole mentioned above and got the entirely private tile to the South.

Pitch black, should have taken a torch but had to rely on iPhone torch (which is crap).

The remaining tiles in the area are all publicly accessible. The only other vaguely tricky one in the area is one just South of Dunsford Road Rec as it's mostly Wimbledon Traincare Depot, but there's a little industrial estate road in the NW corner that allows you to pick it off.

  • I'd love to see stats on some of the least visited tiles in a certain area. I think some people have some tiles due to GPS jitter - not that I really care about others, I've tried to make private any activities I've found that have excessive jitter.

  • I think some people have some tiles due to GPS jitter

I've got some squares like that. Some I can't work out which activity they were as they don't show a green line in Squadrats. Probably a random GPS single point while I was swimming sometime. I'll need to get the surrounding squares though and I don't think they are impossible.

One square which is a bit dubious is by Temple pier. I was going to revisit and get the floating bar to be sure but apparently that sunk which is inconvenient.

  • Yeah, I've got that one (Temple Pier) with a 4k run from work that seems to track a few meters further South than it should.

The jetty/pier may still be there even if the boat is gone, although there may not be the same level of access.

  • How gravelly are the tracks in Swinley? Road bikeable?

  • Didn't you just buy a gravel bike?

  • The rest of the route is road. I don't want to ride a gravel bike for 2km of gravel.

  • I won't argue with you

  • Trufax. Also, the Crux still has SRAM on it and I don't feel like being smited by the almighty Shimano.

  • I was there yesterday!

See this route around 49-54km. The ones I rode are very rideable. I did the bit on your route from Old Dean north and it is straightforward. I was on a road bike with slick 28s, so TCR style offroading. Other tracks around there looked fine, although some a bit muddy.

  • Ha - I can see that you are basically after the stash of tiles that I went out for yesterday. That little spur by Go Ape gives it away!

You are doing a bit more off-road to get the tiles, while I had that inelegant double back for the last one.

  • Ha, you look like you're doing a very similar ride to what I'd planned. I guess we've probably got similar coverage given we're west London TTers/audaxers. Thanks. I'll take the Mason with 28s and hope it's not too soggy.

  • Yep. Mine's a longer route though and starts from Reading train station.
I've got a shorter version that's out and back from Ealing. Depends how I'm feeling.

  • Did a hundo down south and added another one to my square.
