I wonder if he can get insurance for it. No chance of it exploding and covering him in red hot shrapnel. The beard would function as a fire blanket.

Thanks for the info and link. Sort of outrageous compared to my old control line planes and Keil Kraft Caprice lol

So reading back in this thread there have been many revisions. ๐คฃ
The original motor in that vid is a spare 4600kv car motor that is still in my C9 but burnt out on the run. (You can hear the revs drop on the last pass)
Currently it has a dedicated 3180kv water cooled marine brushless but I sill have to restrict run time to prevent melt down.
Tried 4S but back to 3S again for overheating reasons. ๐

My first time building a new RC car in over 35 years and my first spray painted polycarbonate body. I still haven't added the window trim stickers, but I'm pretty happy with how it's come out.

My secret plan for it is to add a Sand Scorcher bodyshell and a Wicked Willy driver figure. But that can wait for a bit.
Enjoy the build, it goes together nicely. Did you order the bearing set to go with it?

I got it on Mercari via Buyee, with a set of bearings, a set of different rims and some softer tyres for ยฃ102! Shipping was about ยฃ50, but even so, a bargain.
going to be pretty much stock to start with, but will be my project car then on on to upgrades and an interior later.

I've just added an M08 Concept chassis, and HPI's Datsun 510 body, to my build pile.
That'll be getting my Hobbywing brushless setup and the Superstock BZ will go back into the TT02B.

And Iโm currently on with a Tomahawk build. Driver painted, chassis about a 5th done.

@Alex_B and @ELbowloh how are your builds going?
Iโve just finished the Tomahawk, bar cutting and fitting the undertray. Thereโs a servo in there, but it needs the remaining electrics and a battery to sit it down a bit.
I might also hot glue 1:1 tyre weights into the undertray to balance the total weight.

Finished the chassis, just waiting for better weather before I can paint the shell.

I still need to finish some details on the body, but it all runs, so that's nice. A few picks of the build process.
This is a CC02 chassis, so it's basically a crawler. I built it with the lower gear ratio, but even then it seems pretty fast. One to I've heard is to run the motor connections to the speed controller backwards and then reverse the controls in the transmitter. That way the speed controller is running in reverse, but the car is running forwards, but more slowly. I might try it once I've had some running time in the conventional set up. -

Pulse engines are cool eh. No moving parts. Just thrust. No wonder ze Germans loved em.
