  • Such a good camera and one that I personally regret selling.

  • Second one is definitely darker on an iPhone 13 Mini screen.

  • Pretty sure it’s a rebadged Meike? For £30 that’s less than £1 per mm focal length.

  • Would anyone be interest in buying a x100s ?

Will get it quoted at a store or throw it on eBay otherwise.

  • Panasonic S5 II has an excellent deal on it at the moment on their direct sales page.
Body, 50mm f1.8 lens, with free 85mm f1.8 lens, and £200 off, to make it £1399.

Probably the best value hybrid full frame camera about at the price.

  • Might be keen, how much do you want for it?

  • Any recommendations for a nice camera sling?

    • Space for a full frame camera and a spare lens or two
    • Comfortable to wear for longer walks, as well as days out etc
    • Waterproof would be useful, but not mandatory
    • Over the shoulder sort of design rather than a back pack
    • Bit of webbing etc to attach a waterbottle / small tripod too if needed
  • Peak design sling in the appropriate size

  • this, over billingham IMO

  • WANDRD also, well made

  • Cool, will give them both a look

  • Any idea on price to sell a Leica D Lux 4? Got the original boxes and brown leather case, charger, batteries

It needs a new lens surround for the cap to sit in. My daughter used it on a school trip and it’s came home without it..

  • Can anyone recommend a good bag? £50 or so limit, would prefer if it didn't look like arse. The Chrome mini kadet seems okay, but not a camera specific so not sure how suitable it would be? Ta.

  • Use the classic Kadet, camera and sometimes some lenses.
Sure, you need to be a little mindful of other objects in there but buying a 'proper' bag was a waste of money, peak design sling was nice but never used it.

  • As per above, been looking into this too, and I settled on an insert inside my Crumpler Wonder Weenie.

None of the slings really looked like they offered more than what I've got + the insert, which was about £10 for a decent one.

The bonus was it doesn't look like a camera bag, just a messenger.

  • Which insert did you get? Currently in this sort of predicament but not liking any camera specific bags.

  • Just an Amazon special as I wasn't sure it would work. One without a lid, so just a open top padded rectangle.

What I really want is a crumpler bunion I think they're called, which is crumplers specific insert, which I'll look out for.

  • I’d recommend you don’t get a sling. Not good for your back.

  • I’d recommend you don’t get a sling. Not good for your back.

This is a relevant shout. I've spent a day with the small crumpler messenger today with camera / 2 lenses and i've got a bit of a shoulder ache.

Think I'm going to get a 15litre backpack and keep my insert in that, and have a bit of space for jackets etc above, returning the messenger to being my work laptop bag.

  • Always got a shoulder/back ache from slings/messengers/ etc. Never learned.

Occasional proper Lowepro etc backpack use was so much better. Not sure why I didn’t twig after years of carrying multiple cameras.

  • I used one for years in my newspaper days, and it def had a bad effect on my back long term. The lightweight back opening ones with a waist strap are pretty good, cause you can spin it around and it opens up in front of you.

Plus you can use it as a tray to eat your food off if there’s nowhere to sit down.

  • Messenger bags are generally just terrible for your spine.
    Backpacks all the way.

  • A long walk with my messenger bag the other day made me realise that perhaps I’m not immune to this problem either.

But whenever I try to find a backpack, they’re big unwieldy things that either are very camera-specific and so useless for carrying work and gym gear, or they’re not camera-specific so I have to bury a camera insert so deep in the bag I can never get at it when I want to get the camera out to take a photo.

    Anyone have any good suggestions?

  • For me, the problem is, if its in the backpack it stays in the back pack, if it's in a messenger bag it gets used
