So we’ve established you’re not hydrating during runs - are you fuelling? I ran my first marathon last October and was shocked a just how many gels I had to take on to fuel adequately. You should be fuelling your long training runs how you plan to fuel your marathon to familiarise yourself with race nutrition.
Got seville Marathon in a about 5 weeks. Few teething issues!
shin splints not too bad, but still there a bit. if I press the side of my leg around my shin it is a very sharp pain like I'm being stabbed. Training not going amazingly
Also getting massive headaches the day after my long runs at the weekend. ran 26km yesterday in about 2 hours 30 and my head isn't good today. Never been one to use hydration assistance - have had pints of water after
not sure if my shorts (which i love, ron hill ones) are getting worn or what but I feel like i've just been on a week long cycle tour with an uncomfortable saddle
