  • So I dug out the little trench next to my external wall (cos the driveway was laid too high - up to the air bricks...) and still have some rising damp inside.

    Anyone got experience excavating the crap out of their cavity walls (there's no insulation... But I suspect a lot of debris/run-off). Any tips?

    If you did that 3 weeks ago then it will not have dried out yet. I was once told by a surveyor that brick takes about a month an inch to dry once a source of damp is removed. I think you need to wait a lot longer and then see what the wall is like.
