I'm taken aback by how many here have RX4/+ calipers and have replied in the past hour alone lol. Amongst my many riding buddies I don't know a single soul.

They are only a nightmare to set-up because of the ridiculous pad clearance. It’s enough to make me take them off the bike, to be replaced by R7100. I know I’ll regret it next time I’m descending with a loaded bike, but hey ho.
Once you get the hang of the flathead-screwdriver-behind-the-pad-while-squeezing thing, which is explained on one of their videos, alignment is fine.

My vielo with rx4 + now has a 180 front and 160 rear . At 11 stone that may seem overload but braking is so much easier and later. I cannot say i fancy it commuting right now.

Wait…why would new handlebars need a brake bleed?!

Another misstep in cycling.
I know I know, but they were on silly discount from Wiggle and they look fancy. Would be no problem if I had rim brakes!

Rim brakes are horribly simple
All those moving parts, springs and cables and adjusting for pad wear and rim replacement, just give me some nice simple pistons and some fluid between them.

Crux forks are almost definitely not rated for 4 piston calipers and a 180 rotor. Will probably cause loads of flex

They’re rated up to a 125kg rider officially and 180mm discs. I guess in this instance it’s more about modulation that outright stopping - the grip being a limiting factor on this type of bike 🤷🏻♂️ I’ve seen some massive loads through carbon in a past life sailing, so I have faith in the material.
@keepitmencap I’ve just routed 3 di2 cabled and 2 hoses through the 3T bars. Not too much swearing! Internal routing thingamajig that I also got for super cheap was helpful mind.
Lovely flair on them. 51cm on the 44cm version. Noice. -

Four piston is very nice.
SRAM ones ain't, just twice the sticky pistons IME. Can't wait to go back to Shimano 2p.

Watched that many times, but on my second rebleed it just didn't cut it - was having issues. Got into contact with Hope who sent me some additional tips, which seemed to do it for me. Happy to share them here when I dig em up.

My 8 year old magura mt5 succesfully unstuck themselves. Never buying anything else for myself

Boring tyre question #2561.
Grippy, fast tyres for racing on winding, very dry hardpack with some loose dirt/gravel/sand on top? Mud not a concern. I received some Challenge Strada Bianca/Getaway 40s for Christmas and they nearly killed me on tight trails this morning. The Getaway on the front inspires 0 confidence. Had Cinturato H 45 previously which were good but noticeably heavy, may just revert to them.
Terra Speed seem to come up regularly.

Has anyone tried the On-One Rujo? Can only see a couple of YouTube reviews and not many other opinions of it. Seems like a good deal, especially during their sales. Was thinking about a modern steel bike, with a standard threaded BB, and wouldn't want to spend lots. Not for "gravel" riding specifically - just something tough for a bit of everything. Seems a bit more exciting than the Genesis and Surly offerings, and way cheaper than the custom / boutique brands. I used to have a Pompino and liked it very much.

I have been tempted but I couldn't handle the crazy aggressive geometry.
also have RX4 with 180mm front, highly recommend the 180mm rotor, RX4 .. meh
