I was going to order off Alixpress but then it popped up in a GoogleAd for my region's Amazon store with a discount code. I thought it was available through a Geordie(?) shop called META coffee
but searching now looks like he's based out in Malaysia. So AliX for now I guess? They're even cheaper now, down to £41 with free shipping which is mindboggling.
Edit: Sigma Coffee have it for £65, black or grey only.

Nice! Yes, I'm there this weekend too. We are staying near Odenplan, so have a few good options now.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Looking forward to it, although the -9 degrees is going to be a shock. Not sure I own enough clothes for those sort of temps

thanks I am a bit of an innocent abroad but assume buying from Aliexpress is safe, and you just have to wait a bit longer? Amazon without the instant gratification?
-
• #25481
You'll have to pay imports and handling fees if ordering from Aliexpress.
-
• #25482
ta, Amazon then.

Never had to in all my years of ordering from AE.

Astounded to hear that. That's great, but astounded nonetheless.

I thought they had started to add custom duty automatically on AliExpress?
-
• #25486
Well perhaps, but I’ve never paid any additional fees after it had arrived in the UK, which I assumed this was referring to.
Either way my search only brings up one option and it’s £58, before fees etc on AE.
Need a link to the £50 one on Amazon!

I threw caution to the wind and ordered one off AE for £43. Never felt so alive! 😂

Awesome. That's great! One of the biggest luxuries of living in the U.S. is no imports up to $800, so I'm glad people in the UK are finally getting something like that too - albeit from one vendor.

Nice one, I'm sure you won't regret it!

thanks to everyone, will order one today.

Are there any hand grinders that can do espresso?

1zpresso J series.

Hi, has anyone got an Aeropress they want to shift? I'm trying to do one coffee a day around 10am but the coffee at work is terrible so looking to find a cheap solution for nice beans for when I'm not WFH. Could collect from NW, SW or central London or pay postage plus notational fee or forum donation!
Thanks very much!

I’ve got one of these I bought off here which I’ve been pleased with. Better espresso than electric grinder. Looks like they’re out of stock though

I use a Kinu M47 for espresso on Hoffman's recommendation. External stepless adjustment was touted as a big deal using something as finicky as a Europiccola lever. I love that it grinds quick compared to others, just under a minute per dose. Also it makes really, really good espresso.

How much! £300

Yeah, I've got the Simplicity which is a bit more reasonable but still not cheap.
If I was buying now I'd consider a 1zpresso J-Ultra if it was significantly cheaper but the M47 Phoenix is only a tenner more.
can I ask where you bought this? I suspect I want one. thanks
