I could have a couple of wrongs here, along with route one wouldn't want to go down, but isn't the movement one of the cheapest? ~£30 so what's the cost of whole movement replacement

The movement is Miyota 9015 Automatic. A quick look at eBay suggests £70 for a single unit, but presumably Helson gets better prices.

Ah, I think it's the nh35 that's cheaper, I was suggesting (/hoping someone would know) if the cost of replacing movement would be less than the pain of dealing with helson.. sounds like you didn't go for the bottom of the range -

Kahuna market find in Berlin. Strap is knackered but packaging and watch tip top. Had one of these as a kid and couldn't resist.

I’ll probably regret it but think I’m going to let this Tudor go, just in the process of getting a valuation from Subdial. If anyone is interested in a ‘91 Tudor 79090 blue - all serviced, new seals pressure tested 10 bar, very original/unpolished and with all the goodies let me know.
