Paper wallet and stick it in a drawer, forget about it until something might happen?

I wouldn't know how to extract the funds from Coinbase in that form. I thought you had to send to a proper wallet address?
Hmm
https://www.coinbase.com/blog/use-coinbase-to-export-your-bitcoins-to-a-paper-walletDoesn't appear to exist now

I don't know, I've not actually done it, but could you not go via electrum?
-

Electrum is BTC only wallet.
There is ElectrumSV wallet though I'm looking at. -

If only Mashton hadn’t chased Stonehedge away. These questions would have been answered already plus we’d have got a little nugget of inside information on SBF trial.

Shit how did him disappearing pass me by. That's a real shame.

There is ElectrumSV wallet
Yes, that's what I meant. Not used it so no experience though.

Not renovating his gaff or dying in a ditch over Starmer not being far enough left I guess.
-
• #2010
Yes, that was a shame. Reading nuggets from someone who actually knew something was interesting.

A paper wallet will present a 'proper' address, not even sure what proper means in this context.
You just need to find a paper wallet generator for BitcoinSV ... now that might be easier said than done.

ElectrumSV for the pittance I was ejecting.

Coinbase FCA shit
It is important for you to be aware of the latest FCA Financial Promotions rules that come into effect on January 8th 2024.
In response to these new rules, we have begun rolling out a series of updates for UK users. From today, UK users will be requested to complete two new tasks in order to provide us with additional information that we can use to assess your level of investment knowledge, and to make sure our products and services are right for you.
When prompted, you will need to complete both these tasks in order to continue using your Coinbase account as normal, and to make any new trades.Task 1: Customer Categorisation declaration
Customer Categorisation requires you to select which type of investor you are. Whether you're a seasoned investor or brand new to crypto, your response helps us make sure our products and services are tailored to you.Task 2: Complete the Appropriateness Assessment
You also need to complete a short assessment designed to confirm that you understand the risks associated with investing in crypto assets, which are considered high-risk investments by the FCA. The Appropriateness Assessment is essential for helping us ensure that you're equipped to make informed investment decisions. -

Yeah, it's more that it took, what, less than 20 years for it to become basically another bank/fund.

It's funny isn't it?
For some reason the vast majority of people don't actually want to have to be their own researcher, cyber security expert, policeman, regulator, UX/UI designer, software engineer, etc. etc. just to hold a [store of value/whatever it is now] and not be a victim of fraud.
Basically in it's purest form, it's viable for students, people with no life, and/or people doing it as a profession.

Link?
Any point moving this BSV to an external wallet (suggestions)? Seems like a waste of time if the currency is basically dead and can't be traded.
