  • I said I wasn't going to spend much money rebuilding the Carbonda, but I bought a pair of Nitto B125SSB in 39cm. For proper neo-retro-postmodern-rando vibes.
Nitto measure at c-c of the drops so the hood position should be at about 36cm which is perfect.
This should solve an issue I've been having. The drops on the compact bars I've been using are touching the Witslingers bag I have up front which is pretty uncomfortable and causes problems when I'm trying to carry lots of stuff.

The bike really needs to be completely pulled apart.
I've been commuting and doing all my road riding on it over the past year without much maintenance and it's not in the best shape.

    I'll need to replace:
Shifters -> Sram Hydro? Trp Hydro + Bar End shifter?
    Brakes
    Tyres
    Bent rack strut

    And:
    Service wheels
    Redo tubeless
Fix creak at cable entry port (bane of my existence)

I'm not in any rush but I don't have the time to do it in bits as I need to be on it commuting most days.

  • Yeah that was my worry about them, but the reach I have set right now is pretty conservative so shouldn't be a problem (hopefully). Should be slightly shorter and slightly higher than my road position.
