  • Carrying on the Kernel theme. This is so good.

  • My Kernel contribution from an hour ago. Don’t even know which one it was, I was so blind with fury. Luckily wasn’t the mild

  • Sad times.
Have Kernel dry stout, Victorian mild and table beer to choose from while making pigs in blankets, the use of a knife may mean table beer is the sensible option.
No export India porter this year which is my favourite, none of this marshmallow and macadamia nonsense.

  • Kernel can do no wrong, my local cornershop when we lived in London was amazing, so many different beers on offer but they always had any 500ml bottle of kernel for 2.99. Made it really hard to go for anything else.

  • I've gone for this sharpener...

  • Mmm…floor beer…

  • Given myself a night off from being off the booze. 10% is very tasty.

  • If you like super sweet pain d'épices then this is for you, if not, one glass is more than enough.

  • Fuck me, how good is this Victorian Mild?

  • No Idea yet! Will probably have it tomorrow.
I was a big mild drinker in my youth as that was what we were allowed to drink underage in the village pub but this is obviously going to be different and a lot stronger.

  • This was a very festive 7%

  • Couple from today, definitely going back to De Dolle next year for more Stille Nacht, in the car rather than the bike next year as I only had room for the one.

  • Fact: Stille Nacht is the best Christmas beer

  • Impressed by this one (and all the ones I've had so far from the Vocation dark box).

  • Have a couple of aged Rochefort 10’s in the fridge waiting for midday. One BBE ‘21 and one ‘19 I think, no idea how long they have on them when produced though. Even if I can’t tell the difference I’ll still have two Rochefort 10’s.

De Struise Black Albert for breakfast yesterday morning, my favourite Christmas tradition

  • Found this one that might have been a bit better a few years back

  • Punchy stout for NYE

Vanilla heavy, quite sweet, leads to a strong licorice after taste.

  • Starting with this I picked up from a great beer stall in Lille a few months ago.

  • The St Bernardus was very good, tasty but not thick like some 10% beers

  • Yeah, it is very nice. I had a thicker one from my Marble Stash a couple days later, very different but very tasty too.

  • Just poured this down the sink, had some seriously rank Christmas beers this year and this wasn't the worst but I can't force myself to drink another shit beer.

Gonna need to be way more selective next time round.
