  • S-Works if for sale and splitting, so guess that means I best update this thread.

    2024 Bikes:
RAAD-DAAD-CAAD - CAAD10 Track in a delightful custom paint job.
Will be Fixed rear, disc brake front.
Got some silver Zipp bits and a nice carbon flat bar for £9.99 off CRC.
Need to get some wheels built and find a nice silver chainset - SRAM Omnomnomnoms? And learn fixed gear stuff. This will likely be built for Spring.

Tallboy CC Lives on. Wants nothing (despite much time spent in the CRC bargain bin!). Will ride in 2024.

    Gravel bike
Tempted now by a Stigmata. Stock seems to be an issue, have emailed SC. Build TBC!

  • Radical stuff

  • Caad track needs black cranks imo. Sugino DD to go along the chic taste, but omniums are fine and easy.
H plus son hydra for rims with white graphics would work great too

  • These frames can be a bit creaky so I’d recommend going with some Sugino DDs and a WheelMFG BB30-24 outboard BB

    In silver

  • I hope this gets me into the golf club.
Nobody replied to my email today RE Stigmata stock so…
    S-Works Crux build incoming.

  • Crux need list:

Stem - Probably S-Works for matchy matchy.
Derailleur- Need AXS, X01 or XX1
Cassette- 12 spd do Shimano work? They’re cheaper.
Brakes - Hope RX4+ SRAM Variety
? Wheels - I have 650b Prime and 700c Hope RD40s. Perhaps I’ll sell up and buy something nice and wide that’s 700c and more suited. The Hopes are pretty ‘old skool’

  • Mine creaks a bit but I still haven't plucked the courage to remove the factory 24mm converter. Did you remove yours before installing the wheelmfg?

  • Nice and on point lfgss. Aren't Crux actual cx bikes and mega wide rims a bit overkill ?
    Paging @giofox

  • I still have the threaded sleeve in but it makes a horrendous noise

  • Aren't Crux actual cx bikes

I think they call it gravel.

Hopes are 19mm. I fear that would make a 45/7 tyre pretty squirmy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • I suppose the newer model (2022 onwards?) blurs the lines a bit, so it can be a "less than pure" cx bike or a "very racy" gravel bike.

Make it what you want of it as long as you enjoy riding it. I really enjoy mine (non sworks) so far

  • @GoatandTricycle thats one 61cm frame set from certini sold...

  • Brakes - Hope RX4+ SRAM Variety

I think I have one of these spare. Although from memory its missing a small copper washer from the hose fitment gubbins. I'll check the garage in the morning.

  • Okay so I might ditch the SRAM idea and just move across all the kit I removed from the SL7.
    So that’ll be:
    Shimano Dura ace shifters
    Shimano Xtr derailleur
    SRAM Red Cranks / PM

Bit of a mongrel 11spd kit list but it’s served me honourably for 3 years. I also like being able to scroll my Garmin from the top buttons on my shifters!

  • Come on @GoatandTricycle you know you wanna.

  • is it pf30 or have i not been concentrating enough? tempted by a hambini bb? I would like to try one

  • Cannondale? Yes.

    Hambini? No - https://www.hambini.cc/

I’ll likely go with Token again - had a good experience with the screw in on my CAAD12.

    Crux is threaded 🙌

  • phew, bloomin eck, I would still like to try a hambini bb tho. It is a single piece of aluminium which if it were to be precision made and then glued/pressed into place in a pf30 shell would, only in my opinion, be a good start in terms of eliminating creaky pf30s. My pf30 bike hasn’t been built yet so my creak is hypothetical but I wish i’d bought a threaded frame.

  • The bigger boys (literally) are being nasty to me lol

I’m tempted in honesty, just the faff of working out how I’d fit it in the stable.

  • I thought the diverge was the gravel ? And crux retained cx specs like geo and more limited clearance.
Of course build it and more importantly destroy it in the mud.
My next gravel if i ever find a job is a super X from a few seasons back

  • Similar clearance. And the Crux doesn’t have the silly future head or whatever it’s called.
I love the super x but very very hard to find in a 60

  • It is still CXish geo but they went big on clearance. It'll do 700x47c now or 2.1" at 650b

  • Sigh.
