Hard to believe it's post STI... that's crazy. The road bike wasn't finished until dual control.
There's no way the rear shifter at least wouldn't earn its keep. I remember that was a thing; one STI and one DT shifter.

Hm, that's from a pretty narrow range of years... Fat aluminium but single pivot brakes and downtube shifters. And are those Toplines?
