  • Rob Jones is famously inept. Although I guess it makes a change for the Forest owner to have referees that don't agree with him.

We had the first female ref in the premier league yesterday, seemed decent. Although the Fulham crowd were a long way from putting the pressure on her.

  • Answers in a padded envelope please…

  • I managed thirty minutes of the Wolves game before I had to go to bed. Found both Broja and Jackson very frustrating to watch, hopeless first touch, both took too long on the ball. Rubbish.

Again, Conor Gallagher was the best player on the pitch for us, Malo Gusto a close second. We looked good at times just no bite or killer instinct in front of goal and we still look very fragile at the back.

It's good to be reminded how shit we were in the old days, makes me quite nostalgic. 💙

  • Happy 163rd anniversary of the first inter-club game of Association Football, Sheffield FC vs Hallam FC.

  • The Instagram for Burnley's latest midfielder isn't quite your average footballers

  • Felt after the goal that the fight went out from the team. Can't see a team ethic there at all. Jackson confidence is shot. Pre season he took goals v well atm looks like he is scared of mistakes. A couple he should have taken 1st time. I really like Stirling but he can be so frustrating also.

Would like to see matsen and gusto start as right and left backs

  • Wow that's great.

  • My “I fear for Forest” 3 days ago has aged beautifully.

If anyone is looking for a boost in their teams fortunes just let me a know and I’ll pop up a gloomy prediction

  • Never thought I'd see Chris Wood play like prime OG Ronaldo.

  • For Christmas, my daughter bought tickets for me & her to go to villa park for the Burnley game. Must admit I shed a wee tear. Feel I've done a bit of parenting right and she's following teh rulez.

  • Is there a player who is easier to dislike than Bruno Fernandes?

  • Not many current players.
    Historically ...

  • Steven Gerrard.

  • I was thinking currently but yes to Stevie G although I raise you EBJT while at the same time taking no pleasure in recognising the recent involvement of both with The Mighty Villa

  • Ah yes, the big bottling racist. Currently playing, it’s only Emi Martinez that gets close. I also get that I’d probably be ok with him if he played for us.

  • Emi Martinez is up there, top drawer shithousery on a consistent and frequent basis, but think (and I’m making this up as I go along) that he offsets this by solid, repeated performance so more panto villain than irritating like “Bruno”.

  • Teddy Sheringham.

  • How do parents who take there kids to watch proper paid for football cope? Took my nephews 7 and 5 to watch our local team yesterday. 7 year old lasted 15 minutes before wanting to go home and get his ipad, 5 year old lasted until he had eaten everything in his lunch box, which to be fair was nearly the whole of 1st half.

  • Bring a big rattle, pass them down overhead to the front.

  • But really, it may take a number of visits, or maybe they will never be into it. Join in with any clapping, (appropriate) singing, which I'm sure you tried and is dependant on the team, what level was it? Point out everything of interest, explain as much as you can, go for walks, buy a pie. 5 & 7 is young and a long time to sit still, impossible for them to concentrate for that long.

  • In the League, Martinez has conceded as many as Onana.

    Just sayin…

  • It's a bit of a conundrum, as you want to get them indoctrinated but don't want to risk putting them off football. I've managed to get my 6-yr old to see Prem and local teams this year. He still won't watch a match in the house, but got him excited about recognising and seeing some of the main players and going to a big stadium. He's not usually great on concentration, but got well into it, as long as I was telling him when all his favourites had the ball. Even offered to leave 10 mins from the end and take him to the shop, but he wanted to stay til the end.

Followed that up with a trip a few weeks later to see the local team with about 300 people in the ground. He enjoyed that too, despite our not knowing a single player and it being a pretty dire 0-0.

YMMV, it obviously very much depends on the kid, but I waited until I felt he was ready and made it a big daddy adventure kinda thing. It worked, but equally I wouldn't have been surprised if he'd wanted to go home after 10 mins and never shown an interest in football again.

  • I think i loved his 3rd finish the most.
