• After wearing the tiny Rotary manual watch, it become extremely apparent just how wearable if is compare to modern day gigantic watches that’s 38mm+.

    There’s something nice about a classic dress watch that’s less than 36mm and only 8mm thick completely disappearing on your wrist yet very readable.

  • It's almost like there was a golden age when manufacturers thought about design instead of feature-led sales.

    (obvs I realise the watch face is advertising the number of jewels, movement, country of fabrication so twas ever thus)

  • Yep, I only wear this little Citizen now because it’s so much comfier than anything else I own/have owned. Very much over the modern watch game for this reason. A 36mm Explorer or OP would be the only modern watch I’d consider buying at this point I think. But even then - they’re not great leather strap watches IMO so I probably wouldn’t bother…

  • I love the typeface for the date.
