  • Thanks. My calendar looks like that, with the green bars (obviously I don't have them on every day, but still...).
But when I click I just get a month calendar with blank cells, although it has weekly totals on the right.
Sounds like something is wrong on my setup. Away for weekend but I'll reinstall, try on different computer, etc.

  • Are you using it in the browser or an app? I'm using it in a browser: https://connect.garmin.com/

  • obviously I don't have them on every day, but still...

Come on, there's at least 8 rest days in those 8 months... :D

  • Browser, Firefox.

    [DK why I said reinstall]

  • Tried it on Chrome and its the same, blank cells but weekly totals on the right.
Probably time to ask Garmin support.

  • Very odd. Do you have any filters on Activities? Look in your settings perhaps

  • Press f12 to get dev tools up, reload the page and see if there's any errors?

  • Did you click Calendar on the left? Your calendar is missing the filter options that mine has.

  • I do get a couple of dozen errors. Don't know what they mean though!

I have the activities filter and didn't have any filters on.

I raised a ticket with Garmin - I'll see what they say...

  • If you send me a screengrab I could help. I had filters on in mine but I don't really use any of its functionality so I doubt there's an impact.

  • Just checking back in to see when I last posted re my HRM battery. Hmmmm... Only a year ago (screen shot below).

Sure I usually get more than 12 months out of a battery but was on the turbo yesterday and heart rate was all over the place.

Either I'm dying or the battery is low again. I'm still here today so it must be the battery and this is my reminder to leave the HRM alone for a few minutes before adding new battery.

  • Have you selected 'Cycling' under activity type or are you displaying running or swimming data by mistake?

tl;dr you can share a location from Google Maps to RWGPS and it'll do a route for you.

  • Could be just what I’m after, although I’ll have to check to see if it’s still available after Christmas…
    What size is the face?

  • 47mm … it’s the “medium” size. With the band pictured.

6X is the large and 6S is the small.

This one is the 6. (Sapphire&DLC)
I’m abroad till 14 Jan , so no problem about waiting a bit!

  • Garmin Connect (on iOS) isn’t syncing with my watch (Forerunner 35), meaning two pretty impressive recent runs haven’t made it on to Strava. Have tried the obvious to no avail: switching phone Bluetooth off and back on again, switching watch Bluetooth off and back on again, turning phone off and back on again, turning watch off and back on again, disassociating and reassociating Garmin account with Strava, creating new Garmin account, syncing, syncing a lot.

    Any ideas?

  • RWGPS added (or was it there already) more hotkeys in the planner. So now you can toggle between 2 maps with "z". Still not as nice as having streetview in osm maps but it helps a lot.

This type of change log I don't like though. Just tell me what is new.

Power Users Take Note. Frequent users will notice a few more subtle time-saving improvements throughout the desktop application.

  • Few days later and another update. They cleverly now switch to the google maps / streetview when you drag the pegman. So it's not an overlay on other maps.
And they also added a hotkey to RWGPS Labs, so now you can hold spacebar to switch to streetview. This is even better than before, I like :)

  • Hello,

Chelsea here from Ride with GPS. I just wanted to get back in touch to notify you that we've reintroduced Google Streetview back to all the available map types. You will no longer have to toggle to a Google-based map type in order to use Streetview.

Feel free to let me know if you have any feedback or questions!

  • Anyone replaced the little USB door on a Garmin Edge 1030?

Is the 1040 the same size as the 1030? (Yes, I'm about to google it, just a reminder to myself really to find out if it needs new mounts)

Anyone used a 1030, 1030 Plus and moved to a 1040 want to comment on the changes?

  • Looks like same size and the only real benefit is speed and battery life (both of which are important to me):

  • That was a really dark period for RWGPS
