I'm curious if they can find a buyer for this, that's a lot of money for a second hand bike.

Nothing wrong with using replica EE’s but it should be mentioned in the sale at least

How can I recognise them please?

The easiest way in photos is the brake shoe bolt.

The rear brake cable housing 👏

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Despite the exotic kit, it's an almost 20 year old frame, rim brake etc.

Just noticed that. Lovely.

Maybe he's not aware, it seems really odd to me to mix such bling components with fake ones
-
• #16537
Not the case, I had a fake one from AliExpress and the hardware looked like that original.
-
• #16538
Demand for the fakes was too high so they prob just sent you an original out of the adjacent box.

Oh wow they are getting good!
Safe to say the ones using the fake hardware (rounded bolt) would be the replicas as no one would willingly be using the sub par hardware, they were terrible quality.

You could still tell it was a fake because the edges had burrs but otherwise it looked really well machined and came with nice bolts. They're certainly doing good fakes these days

That's a beauty.
In need of some lfgss guidance. My last tryst with the world of geared road bikes ended with a Flat bar swap on an old giant ocr aluminum frame that felt too big so I sold it... My new endeavor is with a Cannondale synapse fingers crossed.. My plan is to upgrade the wheelset to some Reynolds and drive train as desired or needed. Here's a pic prepurchase... Thanks for any input.. Plan to use it for longer rides with roadie friends...

I would just ride it first for a while and sort out the fit before you start thinking about upgrades

Rad! Great color, which model is this?
-
• #16546
I'm guessing the one posted above mine is a caadx but I'm not an expert on cannondale's...
@kjlem: the color drew me in after noticing price... The sale ad claims it as a 2015 synapse but not able to touch base with the seller about details. Its running tiagra drive train and the frame is aluminum. Its a little bigger than what I would prefer but from the looks/sounds of reviews the geometry is not super race'y and it appears to have a decent head stack height. The price is right for the condition it appears to be in... Well taken care of is what stood out in the ad and my goal is to comfortably keep up with my B'roadies

It’s a Caad12
Originally purchased to be a cheap crit bike, but it’s growing on me big time.
I can’t call it a winter bike because I think carbon rims are terrible in the wet, so it’s just my “crit bike” for now… -

Thick tires look good on there... 32's?

30c on the Caad5. What a time to be alive!
Who wants in on this mad thing?
