  • I think Cooper has done a decent job, but the team have been flirting with relegation since they got promoted, despite a lot of investment in players. So it’s no surprise the owner has decided now is the time for a change. I’m not sure Nuno is the right choice, but he’s shown he can manage a mid table Premiership team, which is what Forest aspire to be.

  • He's also won promotion from the Championship, finished seventh twice in the Prem, qualified for Europe and took Wolves to the quarter-finals which earned him the Spurs job. How is that CV not an improvement on Cooper?

I love Cooper, but it's difficult to argue that he struggled to get the side playing in a coherent style. This season the structure of midfield has been a disaster consistently struggling to retain the ball helped by the fact has struggled to work out his best side as well as get anything out of big signings like Sangaré and Dominquez. That's not to say Nuno will get us playing liquid football but you have to think he will impose more structure and get more out of the players.
