Scott is a really nice guy. As was the chap before him that ended up being poached to run The Real McCoys store. Clutch is just selling too much the lifestyle, for me. It’s just a pair of jeans at the end of the day.
Ruedi and Linda are still the best in London for Japanese denim/workware, though, IMO. But I appreciate they ain’t on the shop floor like they used to be.
I may be a little biased, but honestly, the only place I'd bother going nowadays is Clutch if you want proper, proper denim.
SoaS still have some very, very nice stuff, but its a bit hectic in there and staff are a bit hit or miss. Scott, who was the best guy at SoaS, has been at Clutch since its inception. Clutch is insanely chill and the team there are top tier.
