Good to know! I'm partly just slightly embarrassed by how bling the bike looks, lol. I'm considering getting some slightly more rough and ready 700c wheels with a dynamo for touring and then putting some nice big grippy tyres on the 650b wheels for offroad duty. What are you planning your two sets of tyres to be?

@IdealStandard touring on carbon rims is scoble approved™️

First up.
I have a bit of a wheel problem.
The Ribble Carbon 650b are keeping the WTB light and supple horizons.
The Mavic AllRoad SL (really nice wheels) are keeping the teravail 650x47b Washburns
The New Prime carbons are getting Teravail 27.5 x 2.1 Sparewoods
The DT Swiss have 700x40c TerraSpeed
Then there are 2 pairs of road wheels with 28/30 tyres.
Oh and there are a pair of…
I said I had issues.

Any chance you could give an in depth (ish) review on how different, if at all, the wheels feel ?
not very often you see someone with 4 different wheelset ups on the same frame!

SPAM.
Anyone want a new 1x12 speed GRX RX820 groupset for Christmas? Merlin are flogging them for £800 at the moment, I think I can do it posted for £770 for a microspline wide range one or £755 for HG 11-36. No 165mm chainsets. RRP is £1240/£1165. -

£600 on Wiggle now, if you're an XS or XL only though.
If you're getting into Vitus territory, then you DEFINITELY should get a Carbonda lol

Maybe the non-27.2 seatpost annoyed me
It takes a 27.2mm seatpost. Well, the frame sitting here does.

As per @Josh request I’ve started here https://www.lfgss.com/comments/17213706/
More to follow as I manage to sneak a longer coffee break… -

Not my size and the other Vitus isn't open mold, apparently.
Even if they're the same mold, I still wouldn't buy the direct from China version. I like the added layer of buyer protection with a locally bought option, even if it adds cost.

Sounds like you want a CX bike!
I mean, yes and no. What's the difference between a CX bike and a gravel bike and a road bike with fat tyres? I already own an old CX bike and definitely don't want another one. I definitely want to run fatter than 33mm tyres, want Di2 and hydro discs and want it to be decent for a road bike.

Don't think this has ever been raised before..

None, you'll probably break all of them

Crux it is then. Get saving chunky.

Maybe I could buy a Handsling (thanks for the suggestion @giofox) and sand the paint off. I'm sure I could convince myself it was an S-Works Crux and then I could buy a whole Di2 bike for the same price as the SWorks frameset.

I often wonder about the similarities between Gravel and riding steel mountain bikes round the woods like we did in the 90s
