going before he's pushed?
He's playing Tubthumping now, a chair and a bunch of filing cabinets piled against the studio door as they try to break it down and drag him out.

So long as they get rid of the inane "tell us about a time you missed the bus" I'll be happy.

Anyone but Lamacq is very much fine by me. Dan from Hove and Kirsty from Salford must be gutted.
Indie Forever slot now. So of course it's Lou Reed. Notorious fey bedwetter that he is.

I had a weird sexy dream about Deb Grant last night which turned at some point into a terrifying horror situation where we were chased by Resident Evil-style skinless creature things. I didn't hate it.

She packed in her jazz fm slot to work at 6 musac.

Agree. I’ve been switching to NTS weirdness the instant it comes on.

Was it Latin jazz kinda vibe? Cándido Camero?

If you listen back to the program I think they said that it is from an album due out soon. I think they also said the record label, but I can’t remember what it was.

Another tune 6 are playing a lot. I can’t remember who by. It’s got the bye Felicia sample in it and some funky loop that sounds like the inside of a fruit machine

Tough listening today, unless you care what t-shirt Dan from Leeds is wearing

Every time I've turned on 6 Music recently, I've turned it off within 2 songs. They've done a fantastic job of alienating their old core audience (middle aged people who preferred Melody Maker to NME), hope they've captured the market they're after.

Can't remember who it was, but sometime this week they had the nerve to be critical of 'over-listening' to new songs.

Spot on

The RADAR figures will be interesting. My children don't ever listen to the radio. Aunties inability to triangulate boomers between R2 and R6 is puzzling.

Was not sure if I was listening to the freak zone or a combo of our dishwasher and dehumidifier just now...
Lamacq going to one day a week with Huw Stevens doing the rest in the afternoon slot. Says he's doing it to spend more time with the family - going before he's pushed? Not sure it's much of an improvement mind.
