No I didn’t. It’s why I’m chasing this up by myself. My insurance pressured me to have a hire bike whilst mine was being ‘assessed’. They got pissy when I said no.
Got an independent quote to a total, of which the TP insurers responded with half of it as the ‘value’ of the bike. I don’t want to replace the bike, I want to repair it.

In which case you need an independent assessment to damage and repair cost. This is normally how you end up with a financial write-off, purchase bike back, then repair with the money. Get to your mechanics and see how they could help write a quote up.
You can demand the bike to be repaired, so long as it is economically viable.
If the TP gives you a value you disagree with, counter it with evidence. Auction, fb marketplace, gumtree, more the better all proving your bike is worth enough to make it worth you pursuing in court if needs be.
ER no, they need to pay for repairs to the bike, any equipment and a back hander to keep you in the same situation as before as if you hadn't had an accident.
Did you have a hire vehicle while yours was off road?
