an outdoor shot tomorrow, proper shots next week when it’s back from the bike person
Perkyns bike meet up … soon….

• #3678
I did , but I think the pads might need resetting / fettling and I do not have it in me
A simple service at the bike shop will weed all these small tasks out, a reward for my perseverance

Staying tuned.

• #3680
Yeah, no worries asking just incase not. Hope the finishing tasks are quickly sorted for you.

I respect you for making a 3k build look like a 500£ 80s mtb conversion.
Please don't lock this up <3

• #3688
YES, oh my god, sorry I was a vegetable - been a busy few days 😭
Great bumping into fellow forum people at the march 🍉

I might have stickers to contribute. Nothing from the request list (maybe Mashallah)
but there are some nice ones -

So good.

It’s the little “which gear am I in” indicator on the shifter that really ties the room together
Immense

sheldon brown sticker elevates this to an elite level

Nice to see a bike with personality.
Most bikes look pretty boring these days.
But twist those zip ties 90 degrees before the cut end does some serious damage to bare flesh

• #3694
So much good but the forks are especially fine.

total banger, stickers inc

fucking ace bike. ngl wasn't 100% sure about the bespoked build, it's so great in this build now tho. love it.

• #3697
Looks reyt that.

• #3698
This build needs it's own chapter in the lfgss book, no words though, just the pictures.
-
• #3699
I saw a few folks that looked very "on here" (clad head to toe in Albion).
The bike is banging btw, glad you're so happy with it!

thank you for all the kind words people, i really am so happy with it - i feel really lucky to have two absalutely fantastic, but importantly different rigid touring bikes with 2''+ tyres and mis matched boutique finishing kit
wait
what
jokes aside, it's lovely. i hope people get a chance to ride it soon!
it would be nice to do a little north london coffee outside soon, maybe this weekend or next? could go to perkyns for those without titanium stoves and then to the pumptrack / cycling circuit in the park for a chit chat/ pose with our bikes
people could also tell me what i've gotten wrong, both technically and aesthetically in person which is exciting for all parties
think of it like a max power type meet but with better poltical opinions and views of women
if this sounds appealing to people , it's cold, wet and i think a "ride" leaves much to be desired, but a pootle and coffee? doable
P.s.
Just checking you've done the loosen caliper mount bolts then squeeze lever and hold it in place & then retighten the mount bolts trick?
