  • Hey dude how are you? Hope you and the family are coping with lockdown.
The bike is getting a lot of ride time at the moment around the Quay outside and I have to say i'm loving it. The other go to bike remains the Corsa Extra which remains the best road bike i've ever ridden.
If i ever part with the Pista you get first dibs!

  • Small update a few years on. The bike got a really well used on the lockdown. I re-invented myself as a fixie skidder (without the skidding) around Douglas harbour. The empty roads were great.
Since then I’ve moved the bike to France. The Suntour Superbe 24/24 set up has made way for Miche 32/32’s and I’ve used DT Swiss RR511 rims again as a really like them.
I’ve also swapped the saddle for a Brooks B17. I started with a prostate/pelvic pain condition at the beginning of lock down with meant my rides got shorter and shorter until I couldn’t ride for more than 20 mins without pain emerging later on. The Brooks has helped and today’s ride was a nice 90 minutes

  • I picked the hubs up new in a Planet X Christmas Day sale for £25 about 4 years ago. IMO they are probably the best thing in the Miche Primato range

  • Glad to see the fork still holding up and looking great!

  • Absolutely, it rides very well and the fork was a saving grace with exactly the right length steerer.

  • Such an amazing frameset. Not only is it an MXL pista, it's a 90's high-pro. Oh, and it's got Backstedt's name on it.

  • Cheers. I really love riding it
