Pfadfinder pfolks… I’m building mine up with two wheelsets, a road set with 28 tyres and a gravel set with 35 tyres. The road set will be for wet autumn/winter riding so will be what I mostly ride, accordingly I want to set the frame up with guards - looking at pdw 37mm guards.
I’ve never had a gravel/off-road specific wheelset before but I’m guessing they’ll be better to be used without guards due to the likelihood of them getting full up of dirt/leaf crud etc? Or do I ignore the plan of buying 37mm guards and go for the 45mm pdw guards so as to cover both wheelsets? That being said, I don’t know that the frame clearances will tolerate the 45mm guards…

37mm PDWs and 30mm tyres were great on my Pfadfinder. Don't bother with guards for the gravel tyres.

Perfect, thanks!

@LeBlaireau and @MechaMorgan what gubbins did you use to attach your front PDW guards to your forks... the set of fenders I bought didn't come with the necessary bits!

I used these with one side cut off. Condor seem to do a neater version now.

Well I’ve not bothered fitting guards yet but I’ve managed to get a couple of hundred kms on this. Still need to set tubeless tyres up which will be a job for tomorrow and am still fiddling with saddle, bars and levers

Paintwork is the only thing that’s not hard wearing I’ve been told.

Judging by the current line up what’s the betting that the next new release will be a fully integrated cable version of the Pfadfinder?

My Pfadfinder in off-road/gravel mode with Terreno Dry in 33c which come up at 37.5mm. Got flipping soaked today, having ridden solidly with mudguards for the last three months I’d almost forgotten the experience of a soggy rump
