Same here, my wife picked up a pencil two at her workplace lost and found (after the required waiting period) and brought it home. I stuck it on my iPad and announced it doa. After about a week I got an alert on my screen that it was now 100% charged. Unfortunately I’ll never use it (originally got one with the ipad, sold it on in one of the few instances where I lost no money in such a transaction). I guess I could try and sell this one, but there’s no packaging with it. Anyone here interested? I’m in Canada, so I’d charge shipping plus $10, fair?
To echo Grams, I had an Apple Pencil that I thought was dead, absolutely would not charge, so I abandoned it (attached to my iPad) and bought another. Turned out that being attached to the iPad for days managed to get enough charge into it that when I came back to it a Lazarus like change was found.
I'd therefore stick it on the charger for a week and then come back to it.
